Research

My research work during this time has been interdisciplinary, with both academic collaborations as private industry. I have collaborated with research institutions and universities as UABC, ITT, CICESE, the University of California: UC Irivine, UC San Diego, and the MSU. In the private industry I have worked with the IMSS public hospital in Ensenada, B. C., Pasitos, A. C., and ClubLia Kinder in Tijuana, B. C, EdNinja Inc. in San Diego, Ca, and CREATE-NET in Italy. The research areas in which I worked in addition to the computer science encompasses areas such as psychology, education, medicine, social science, design, among others.

The aim of my research is to understand the models of interaction of people with technology and their environment, in order to develop, implement and evaluate the impact of technology that mainly helps people with cognitive disabilities, their families and caregivers, thus raising their quality of life.

My research interests are Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Ubiquitous Computing, Cognitive Assistive Technology (CAT), and Mobile Technologies.

I previously have worked in the private sector in the development of the software industry. During this period I developed expertise to the process of globalization of a Mexican company in the software industry to international markets (e.g., USA). During this time I have been directing several groups of developers as a project manager and then as a COO.
